Shabd… words strung together, transform a song into a personality
What is a song without words? A lifeless body, when a few words get strung together, the song becomes a story, finding a placement in both time and space and most important, it gets the color [genre].
There are many songs that depend on words, either to take the story forward or to reveal an emotion or to express the character, every lyricist lives through the emotion or moment in time. From where does this treasure of experience originate? The answer perhaps lies in true soul searching.

When words form into lyrics they need a melody, a tune, embellished with a voice, the Raag or mood of the tune coupled with the timber of a voice communicates much beyond the alphabets or a language, written emotions get an intellectual flow which is the melody, either buoyant or sad, that melody and its rendition gives Shabd another dimension, it is the tune or Dhun which appeals to our hearts, and words become hummable .
A melody is unique in its origin, springing from a sequential arrangement of the seven notes, amazingly the juxtaposition of these notes create a million different tunes,an ambience which is instantly appealing to our hearing.

For every individual, music is a sugar coated pill, a medicine and just seven notes produce magic !A melody gets the body by an arranger, whose appropriate usage of instrumentation gives a song its final shape its timelessness.
